Artist Spotlight: Saucy Monky

This is a debugging block

Los Angeles based alt rock band Saucy Monky have already found success across the pond, where they have had several hit singles on Irish radio in the  past decade or so.  Though they aren’t as well known here, fans of shows like Blue Bloods, Veronica Mars, and iCarly may have heard Saucy Monky featured.

The band is fronted by Dubliner Annmarie Cullen US-born performer Cynthia Cantania, who also happen to be former girlfriends.  They are joined by bassist Steve Giles and drummer Megan Jane.

In September, the four member band released the first of a planned three EPs, titled Trophy Girl Part 1.  The EP’s first single is titled “Awkward,” and the accompanying video has received attention in the blogosphere.

The band is set to release parts two and three of Trophy Girl in 2013. Check out part one on iTunes here, and watch the music video for “Awkward” below.
