A new fictional dramatic web series called "Camp Abercorn," currently in the works, will shine a light on the experience of being part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), and reflect on the BSA's policies on LGBT inclusion.
On Wednesday, members of the Assistant General Council of Seattle Public Schools wrote to Seattle-area Scoutmaster Geoffrey McGrath,ending their affiliation with the BSA.
“Clipped Wings”, a short documentary about the discriminatory policies of the Boy Scouts, tells the story of Liam Easton-Calabria, a candidate for the rank of Eagle who came out before the BSA allowed gay Scouts. The film also follows Geoff McGrath, a Scoutmaster who was ejected from Scouting because of his sexuality.
On Sunday, the iconic Pride March in New York City and its 14,000+ participants were led, in an historic first, by Boy Scouts members and leaders.
