VIDEO: LGBT youth share stories with GLAAD about being bullied

The Hetrick-Martin Institute is a nonprofit organization that serves the needs of LGBT youth. GLAAD visited its location in downtown New York City and interviewed LGBT young people about being bullied. They shared their experiences with bullying and how bullying has affected their lives. GLAAD Q&A: Wade Davis Discusses Being Black and Gay In Professional Sports

As part of our ongoing effort to honor LGBT African-Americans making history, GLAAD sat down with Wade Davis, the former professional football player, to discusses what it was like to play professional football still in the closet. He also discusses what he is doing currently to help combat homophobia in sports and what he wishes his legacy will be as one of the first professional football players to have come out.
