Here's An Easy Guide to Clean Face & Eye Makeup

The key to a naturally glowing skin is deep cleanse, but sometimes just scrubbing and exfoliating might just not be enough. Despite all that effort, sometimes your makeup just don’t come off. We have all been there! Let’s get you acquainted with the best ways to get a supple and soft, makeup-free face.

  • Give it some time

Eye makeup by far is the most difficult task, requiring more focus and effort especially when we decorated it with colors and kohl. When it comes to eye-makeup, more the time, the better the removal. You must be wondering how and why? Well, after applying makeup remover, let it sit. Giving it sometime softens the stubborn liner, mascara and eye shadow. This slips off the makeup easily when you finally wipe it. Following this process will get you rid of the smudges the next morning.

Note: Do not scrub or rub your makeup-remover pad around delicate areas of the face. This leads to damage of the skin around your eyes causing irritation and eventually contributing to wrinkles.

  • Washing your face before sleep is mandatory!

As soon as we get to hear about makeup wipes, we feel like that’s enough to get rid of all the layers. Though, wipes might actually be an amazing first stage for removal of all the excess makeup and dirt, but a proper sink session should not be missed right after it. Wiping the face and going to bed might lead to breakouts as excess makeup remains seated in the pores. To ward off any further skin problems, make sure to use water and face wash to remove any residue. This is how you prep up for a good and slowing skin in the morning.

  • Make sure to use a cleanser

We normally don’t check if our face wash is capable enough to remove makeup. In order be completely sure that your makeup has come off after a wash, do switch to a face cleanser as it provides maximum removal of makeup from the pores. In case you don’t want to switch to a cleanser, you can use miscellar water first or some cleansing balm. They are recommended as the most effective removers for ripping off the most stubborn makeup like liquid lipsticks, stick foundation, eye brow pigments from your skin without harming it in any way. You can wash your face with your normal face wash if you follow this routine.

  • Push your hair back with and scrub your hairline

Most often we ignore our hairline while washing our face. Yes, we know! We understand! At night when tiredness has taken all over, and the pillows are ready to hug us we just wish to get done with the face. Dermatologists say that we often give way to breakouts around the hairline as we don’t pay any heed to it while washing the area while washing our face. This leads to clogged pores and the results are quite bad. To avoid it, make sure you tie your hair back tight and rub off the area with your cleanser to remove every trace of makeup.

  • Flat cotton pads over cotton balls

Cotton balls tend to leave behind residue or break down while usage causing fibers to rest on your skin or lashes. This can trigger irritation when your are actually trying to soothe your skin. Therefore, its advisable to opt for cotton pads instead. It has smoother texture and cotton don’t shed while in use, making it an ideal makeup removal pad for you skin care routine. Use it only in a clockwise manner to get uniform removal of makeup.

  • End the process with your favorite moisturizer

Irrespective of skin type, moisturizing at the end of the skincare regimen is a must! This soothes the skin and further protects from damage by chemicals in your makeup or cleanser. Make sure this includes your eye area as it tends to dry out faster and is also the most sensitive skin on your face. In order to retain the soft and supple skin, hydration via moisturizer is necessary and should not be missed at any cost.
